The National Council for TV and Radio gave two frequencies to Hromadske Radio during its session on 22 December, 2016. These are the initial South-Western points of the Hromadske Radio broadcast that are strategically important locations of the diverse region of Besarabia that particularly suffers from the lack of independent information sources.
Olexander Buzyuk, director of the TV and radio company Hromadske Radio, reported on this on his Facebook page:
As of today Hromadske Radio broadcasts from 13 locations primarily in the East of Ukraine as well as Kyiv, Dnipro, and Shpola, Cherkasy oblast. According to our estimates Hromadske Radio’s FM signal beyond Kyiv and Dnipro spreads over territory of more than two million residents.
